Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026.
1. Before work starts
If a booking is cancelled before the freelancer has accepted it, or by mutual agreement before any work begins, the client receives a full refund of the project value and the client service fee.
2. After work has started
Once a project is In Progress, cancellation requires agreement from both parties or a dispute decision. Where part of the work has been delivered, the released amount reflects the proportion completed. Any remaining balance is refunded to the client's original payment method.
3. Non-delivery
If a freelancer misses the agreed deadline by more than 48 hours without communication, the client may cancel and request a full refund. Repeated non-delivery leads to account restrictions.
4. Work that doesn't match the brief
Use the revision process first — most listings include revisions. If revisions are exhausted and the delivery still materially differs from the agreed scope, open a dispute and our team will review the brief, messages and submitted files.
5. Approved work
Once a client approves a delivery, or the review window closes without action, the payment is released and the project is treated as complete. Refunds after this point are only issued where fraud or a breach of these policies is established.
6. Fees
- Full refunds include the client service fee.
- Partial refunds return a proportional share of the client service fee.
- Commission is only charged on amounts actually released to a freelancer.
7. Timing
Approved refunds are issued within three working days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds may take a further five to ten working days to appear.
8. Subscriptions
Talent Pro and Agency plans can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the paid period. Part-month periods are not refunded.
