2. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, password hash, role, location, profile photo and bio.
• Professional data — skills, portfolio items, rates, availability, service listings and briefs.
• Transaction data — bookings, invoices, payouts and payment status. Card numbers are held by our payment provider, never by us.
• Communications — messages, files and dispute evidence exchanged on the platform.
• Technical data — device, browser, IP address and usage events used for security and product improvement.

3. Why we process it

To operate your account and the marketplace (contract), to process payments and prevent fraud (legal obligation and legitimate interests), to keep the platform safe and moderated (legitimate interests), and to send product or marketing updates where you have consented.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run the platform: our cloud host, payment provider, email provider and analytics provider. Public parts of your profile and listings are visible to anyone. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Transaction records are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law. Messages tied to a dispute are retained until the dispute is resolved and any appeal window has passed.

6. Your rights

• Access, correct or delete your personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw marketing consent at any time.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed credentials, role-based access controls, row-level database security and audit logging on sensitive administrative actions.

8. Children

GeTalenTeam is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
